It all began
Sarah and Taka left teaching and event promotion professions in Vancouver in order to pursue careers in the food industry arriving in Nanaimo in 2007.
As Pastry Chef, Sarah helped establish the then newly-opened Mon Petit Choux, while Taka worked at Taiyo as Sushi Chef. In 2011, both were hired to open a new restaurant in Lantzville called Riso. After 8 incredible years of managing and cheffing, the duo resigned from their employment there in order to recharge, refresh, and open their very own restaurant, Camas.
